Josh thomson became first to knock out Nate Diaz shin-kicking him to the head, then finishing him on the ground.
Nate Diaz started off the match by forcing him to press the action and kept coming at Thomson close so that he could box him up Stockton style,althought, things did not work out for Nate into this fight and got caugh with a blasting High kick to the head.
Thomson's devastating head-kick was a set up, as he was circling and throwing many leg kicks, diaz was fooled on the last one .Amazingly he wasn't KO'd at first impact ,he tuck in his chin and tried to defend himself, and that's when Thomson jumped on him and finished him by continuous strikes ,punches and hammerfists til it's over. This was the first stoppage loss in Nate Diaz's career.
